FANDOM: Anime Otakus

Japan is a rather odd country. For one, they created the idea of manga and anime. Although they are unlike traditional cartoons where their target audience was generally young children, it continues to tarnish our youth alongside of Bronies. Both the Bronies and otakus are turning our innocent youths into googly-eyed pedophiles.

Common characteristics of manga/anime:

1. Deals with high school students, the time in life when sexual interests start to appear
2. Girls are portrayed as innocent and helpless "damsels-in-distress"
3. Characters have comically large eyes
4. Girls are portrayed as having large breasts and curvy hips

Sure these animations and comics tend to overstate on female body part proportions, but what is worse is that some don't even end there! Brief to extended scenes of nudity, panty upshots of lasciviously short uniform-skirts, girls succumbing to the perversion of men... If you can imagine it, it probably already has been done.

Moreover, these avid fans know little to nothing about the rich culture of Japan! They most likely may not even understand why using the term "otaku" is considered offensive in Japanese culture! Japanese culture is very centered on the family and even as back to the feudal days, families were viewed almost as holy as the Christians viewed God. To tarnish the name of a family meant great dishonor and shame, and methods to restore this "honor" is usually through some sort of self-immolation. The United States places a good deal on family but nowhere as much as Japan in our meager 400-yeared history. The definition of "otaku" is roughly translated into "family" or "clan." In Japan, to be deemed as an "otaku" is a sarcastic remark in that their interests have caused them to be classified in a socially undesirable group.

We've looked at the male side, why not the female side? Regardless, they have equally as damaging reputation on the opposite gendered counterparts to the human species. Girls are portrayed as being skinny, fit, large-breasted and have thigh-gaps. What a greater way to insult females and their appearances! While cartoon are always deemed as being false and inconsistent with real life, I beg to differ. Otakus of all ages attend conventions to pretend to be their favorite characters and meet others in sharing similar fetishes. Who's not to say that they are false and inconsistent with real life, especially with growing numbers of anime-obsessing fans. Anime is a dangerous fandom that requires serious attention. Their appeal to sexually-fantasized girls and failure to understand the true meaning of the term "otaku" are causing more men to turn into pedophiles while damaging the image of what a girl is to look like.

FANDOM: Bronies

My Little Ponies was originally designed for young female audiences, yet how did it end up in the hands of men? Around the world, boys in their adolescents to even as old as their 40s are taking interest to a whole new level. Seriously, what is this? What is wrong with you men? To be interested in things is quite understandable, but taking interests in once-female product line is unacceptable. They even have conventions on Bronies! This is just sickening! We cannot have this happening, let alone in a country of the United States!

Boys and men who associate themselves as "bronies" are one of the prime reasons of morphing this country's youth and pastime. It is quite acceptable to like something cute, but men taking up these interests in colorful ponies are disgraces. The ponies are likely of young ages, classifying those who take interests in this fandom as PEDOPHILES. This mindset is corrupting our youth! I thought we wanted fewer child predators, not more!

When was last time a grown man watched a cartoon? Likely not very recently. In the United States, cartoons are for children... This is why we have channel dedicated to that. If adults wanted to watch, they have Adult Swim starting at 10:00 every night. In addition, how many cartoons have been made addressed to a mature audience?

Blue's Clues - nope
Ed Edd n Eddy - nope
Adventure Time - nope
Tom & Jerry - nope

The list is rather short but if you consider almost every cartoon showcased in the United States, they were meant FOR CHILDREN! Bronies are turning young boys into childish, puerile, and immature adults that are plaguing the rich and diverse cultures of the United States! These mature men have little to no purpose in a fast-paced society. They do not help the economy nor do they help alleviate the nation's deficit; why are we allowing this to go unchecked?

Furthermore, we are losing valuable assets of our society! Our country is in the midst of a dangerous deficit and if the government won't do anything, who will? We need more hard-working and diligent people in the working field to restore our nation's prosperity! But what are they doing? Sitting at home and selling propaganda to potential members. They don't care about our welfare; all they care about is that they get fed, paid, and have the ability to attend conventions and buy more materials to satisfy their insatiable fandom appetites.

Because I had my Further Oral Studies on the creation of Bronies my goal in the written task is to create a blog rallying against any fandoms and analyze my strategies for their effectiveness.
